There is some exciting progress being made within Wigram Skies by way of the road developments.

The Kittyhawk Drive connection between Skyhawk Road and Corsair Drive currently remains closed to the public. It is still listed as a private road but will eventually be vested in Christchurch City Council (CCC).

Come and see the progress for yourself!

The New World supermarket is now open and anchors Stage One alongside a number of other retailers including Joe’s Garage, Mexicali Fresh, Subway, Muffin Break, Unichem pharmacy, Misola hair salon and KinderCare.

The Landing, Wigram Skies Town Centre has progressed quickly with Buildings 1 and 2 within Stage One now complete. This article is to outline the meaning behind the beautiful cultural artwork embedded in the design and landscaping.

The artwork, designed by local artist Priscilla Cowie, has been inspired by Ngāi Tahu rock art and gives an insight into the past world of tīpuna (ancestors). Priscilla sees this as “a great opportunity to share some of our kōrero (stories) and that’s important for our tamariki and whānau to come.”

Wigram Skies town centre is rapidly growing with the recent opening of New World Supermarket.

The owners, James and Karen are passionate about their fresh produce, fine cuts of meat prepared by their skilled butchers, and providing an extensive range of gluten-free products. Shopping at New World is all about the ‘fresh experience’.

Mexicali Fresh are proud to announce the opening of their first South Island store. Located at The Landing at Wigram Skies, this is their fourteenth branch since Mexicali Fresh’s inception in 2005.

The planned Medical Centre at Wigram Skies is about to get under way with building consent issued and on site works starting later in August.
